Henley House Vet Clinic is an independent small animal clinic striving to deliver high quality care. It has been around for nearly 30 years.

How has IDEXX Animana benefitted you? How has your daily practice improved from the use of IDEXX Animana?

Animana has streamlined our database to allow automated reminders for vaccinations and flea/worm treatment without the additional cost of a 3rd party provider. It has allowed seamless integration with our in-house and external IDEXX laboratories. Besides, the Cloud-based platform supports using Animana on multiple machines, including iPhones and iPads, both at the surgery and away from the premises.

The attachments of images, including radiographs and ultrasound images, is extremely easy. On top of that, the combi-products are excellent, both in terms of correct charging and estimating. There are also useful user-defined clinical protocols and information sheets, which can be prepared and allocated to patients as required. Eventually, the information can be emailed to a client very easily.

Would you recommend IDEXX Animana to a colleague?

Yes, I would recommend for the extra flexibility and security of a Cloud-based system. Also, the customer support from sales to implementation to ongoing support has been excellent. I had been used to speaking to software developers and struggled to get information in an understandable fashion. All the support staff have veterinary experience and have used the system themselves in the field. They are all friendly, helpful and explain things in a manner I can understand.

What do you consider to be the most valuable aspect of your experience with Animana?

I am impressed with Animana’s ongoing commitment to improvement. They request and listen to feedback and have a list of objectives each quarter backed up with regular updates and information about modifications.

What made you decide to switch to Animana?

I was getting frustrated with a server-based system that required a new license for every individual terminal. Apart from that, I felt I was not being helped to use all the functionality of the old system as there was no follow-up training from the support team. I wanted the increased flexibility and security of a Cloud-based system. Now, we no longer need to worry about forgetting to back up daily, as this is all automated and off-site. Also, I needed to stop paying nearly £200 a month extra to send reminders via email and text message through a 3rd party provider.

How was the transition from your previous PMS to Animana?

Getting the transition right can be a long process, but the assistance from the Animana implementation team was excellent. They were involved with setting up Animana just how I wanted and preparing for seamless data transfer. Onsite training was very good with face-to-face assistance for 2 full days and follow up from then on.

How has your daily practice improved from the use of Animana?

Lab work has increased with the integration of in-house and external laboratory results. Also, estimating and pricing has improved with the combi-products set up correctly. Reminders are working well, both for our pet health plan and routine vaccinations, flea treatment and wormers, thus compliance has improved.
