Copying Custom Protocols was a long-cherished wish for many customers which we made possible in our first release in 2018. Among other features, we also made substantial improvements to the speed of reporting in Animana.
Our 2018 Milestones
Animana 3.14 contained a major new feature allowing you to search both standard and custom protocols created by your clinic.
This update brought a number of improvements for Vetstoria, client searches, and also a few financial improvements.

We expanded the selection of IDEXX In-House Diagnostics tests available within the In-House Analysis test menu in Animana. Under the Catalyst One and Catalyst Dx (R) Chemistry analysers, we added options for both the C-Reactive Protein slide and SDMA.
The GDPR was introduced across Europe providing higher levels of protection for EU citizen data. Animana paved the way for compliance.
The homepage of the KB was redesigned to ensure it’s easier to find answers to your questions.
With Animana 3.16, we introduced our new Content Designer. Making it even easier to create and maintain letters, labels, forms and emails in Animana.
The first learning path we published was that of the Content Designer. Learning paths are designed as a useful reference work for specific features in Animana.

Animana 3.17 was all about improving security. With an ongoing commitment to helping customers be GDPR compliant, we updated and improved our security layers to make sure your clients data is always safe.
Animana improved its video content – The first videos were offered for software releases, making it possible to be aware of important changes to Animana within seconds.
With Animana 3.18 came an extra security method, forcing users to automatically log out of Animana after a certain period of inactivity. Another great feature we introduced was automatic reminder reports, which made it possible to review the efficiency of your auto reminders.
The most important feature of this update was the waiting-time report which provides the opportunity to investigate the efficiency of clinic staff and the experience of the customer journey.
The release also offered extended logout time, made improvements to Vetstoria, a new UI for the Client Portal, and an autosave function.
Animana showed its Dashboard Concept: “Animana Pulse” for the first time to the public at the London Vet Show.
Animana’s dedicated training team created and published over 208 Knowledge Base articles in 2018; they were so busy creating content that we completely forgot the exact date of our 200th article! The team also have some exciting plans for 2019 to make self-help and on-boarding even easier.
In this release, Animana gained the ability to auto-renew Pet Health Plans. This means that plans could now auto-renew at their expiry date, without any more need for manual input!
