Animana Release Highlights: Version 3.18

IDEXX Animana 3.18 contains several new features and enhancements listed below:

 

Automated Reminders Report

IDEXX Animana now provides you with insight into the compliance and efficiency of your sent (automated) reminder notifications. This helps ensure your clients receive the most effective messaging and that they are returning to your practice for vaccinations and reminded products. The new report lists your sent notifications within a specific reminder due date and location, as well as whether or not a new product was purchased to replace the reminder. You can also filter on reminder groups or by species, thus allowing you to drill down to the specific templates sent.

This report should be used to measure the success of your sent reminder notifications, allowing you to further optimise your reminders/notifications. To find out more details and how to run the report, please see our knowledgebase article.

 

GDPR – ‘Security by design’ 

Protecting your customers’ personal data has always been highly important, even more now that GDPR went into effect. Along with the stricter password requirements, We have introduced the following changes to security to support you on your GDPR journey.

Switching users –  IDEXX Animana will now request a password when switching users, adding this extra protection contributes to your efforts in keeping your data safe. This will also reduce the likeliness of performing an action whilst logged in as another user, for example, financial transactions and medical history. We have also introduced an easier way to select the user from the dropdown list – simply start typing in the search box instead of scrolling down the dropdown list. Automatic logout – IDEXX Animana will now log users out after a set period of Animana session inactivity, thus preventing customer and user data remaining visible on the screen, or a current session being continued without permission. Users can extend their session by entering their password before the session is due to expire – they will be notified one minute before automatic logout. The default time will be set to 20 minutes but can be changed by your practice administrator to either 10, 20 or 30 minutes. Note: In line with good data security practice, if you are using a shared device and are asked to save your IDEXX Animana password, we recommend you do not save your password as other users will be able to log in using your information.
